This presentation, Early Start Denver Model as a Foundation for Integrated Care in Autism, defines collaborative care models, provides an overview of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), and discusses how the ESDM supports integrated care for young autistic children at Soar Autism Center. This talk highlights the collaborative roles of BCBAs, SLPs, and OTs in delivering child-led, play-based, and data-informed care, with real-world examples and outcomes. 


Content Disclosure: This course will focus exclusively on the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), and other similar intervention models will not be discussed.


Course Completion Requirements

In order to complete this course, following the recorded presentation, learners must:

  • Attend to the entirety of the presentation. Partial credit is not available.
  • Pass a learning assessment of 10 multiple choice questions with a score of at least 80%. You may take the learning assessment as many times as needed to earn a passing score.

Instructors

Will Martin, M.Ed., BCBA

Will Martin is a certified ESDM Therapist, ESDM Trainer, and Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over 10 years of experience in early intervention and autism therapy. He earned a Master’s in Early Intervention with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder from the University of Pittsburgh. Will has worked in both community-based practice and research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and he specializes in Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Intervention, compassionate approaches to challenging behavior, and caregiver involvement in therapy.

Dalma Dibuz, M.S. CCC-SLP

Dalma Dibuz is a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist and the Director of Speech Services at Soar Autism Center. With over seven years of experience specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and feeding therapy, Dalma brings care and clinical expertise to her leadership role and as an SLP. Dalma has been committed to providing individualized, evidence-based care that empowers children and their families. She focuses on supporting and mentoring the speech team, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across therapies, and ensuring families remain integral partners in the therapeutic process.

Kate Brough, M.S., OTR/L

Kate Brough has been a pediatric occupational therapist for 6 years in the Denver area. She believes in providing holistic and individualized evaluation and treatment to kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) with a focus on helping them participate to their fullest potential and gain independence in daily life. She has an extensive background in providing treatment for kids with ASD, specifically in the areas of feeding, sensory integration, and executive functioning. Kate received a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University in 2015.
